Knitting Pattern
The blanket is knitted all in one piece. I knitted the pictured blanket with cotton yarn but any yarn of your preference would make a lovely blanket.

Stitch abbreviations:
RS = right side
WS = wrong side
P = purl
K = knit
K2tog = knit 2 together
Yo = yarn over
Sts = stitches
Materials:
Circular Knitting Needles size 4mm [US 6].
Yarn: Cotton yarn
Weight: 400 – 450gr
Length of one 100gr ball is 210 meters (192 yards)
Size and Gauge:
Size: W: 73cm; L: 90 cm
Knitting gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4″ (10 cm)
Notes
The pattern is knitted in multiple of 9 sts plus 6 for symmetry. Use this as a guide to adjust the size should you wish
larger or smaller size. Additionally you should add some stitches for the border on both sides. I have 4 stitches on each side to make a narrow border. I am adding a colour coded diagram.
The Blanket Pattern
Cast on 158 sts on circular needle size 4mm (US 6).
Those 158 stitches consist (4 sts for border + (1+144+4+1 sts for body) + 4 sts for border)
Row 1-8: Purl
Row 9: P4; k1; *p4; k2tog; yo; k1; yo; ssk*
Repeat from * to * 15 times; p4; k1; P4
Row10: Purl
Row 11: P4; k1; *p4; k5* Repeat from *to * 15 times; p4; k1; P4
Row 12: Purl
Finish the blanket by another 8 rows of Purl.
